I'm about half done with some 25mm Brits. Is it time to build some trench terrain?? _________________ Neil |

| That would be a cool project. I'd get in on some of that action in a skippy! |

| Someone built a nice trench board (for Warhammer 40K) down at Phoenix Games. You might want to check it out for ideas. |

Yes. Trenches'd be cool! Are you still thinking geomorphic sections? 2 foot square maybe?
Be sure to include a hollow tree that the troops can climb into to observe the enemy....
I've got early and late French as well as Germans. About a Foundry Reinforcement Pack apiece (~30 each). I have some German trench mortars and a British Mark IV (?) tank. And dead bodies. Plenty of dead bodies. |

| I have half or maybe 2/3 of a reinforcement pack of foundry german trench raiders. Hmmm, maybe a random pack or two of other foundries as well, but I'm getting really hazy there. |

Well, you can't have a World War I without Germans! ...the filthy Huns!
They're grey, by the way. :^) |

I was definitely talking of geomorphic boards. I already have a number of 18" square cut out of the think insulation boards. I'll think next step would be to establish standards to make sure the boards connect, and for coloration etc. _________________ Neil |

Speaking of WWI, I read All Quiet on the Western Front recently. Found myself without a book to read on a flight to beautiful Plattsburgh, NY. Great book, no denying that...but I thought Her Privates We was better.
Kevin -- Did you get a chance to read that?
I stumbled across another copy in a Half Price Books and snagged it. This second copy is a different publishing and the cover marketing says something about it being an uncensored version. So I don't know if the first copy was censored (I guess I'd have to read the second one to know, huh?), but evidently the brutality was considered too much when originally published -- around the 30's I think. |

OK, I've got a lot of 18" square foam cut out and ready to go. I can set some specifications on trench entry points for each square.
Other materials are we going to need:
1 Coffee Stir Sticks- Where do we get them.
2
Add Items you can think of. _________________ Neil |

Coffee stirrers come from places that do a lot of coffee stirring. I get them from Kowalski's--near the exit door coffee pot--or from Caribou/Starbuck's/Dunn Brothers. Do I feel bad? No, not really; their coffee's $3 a cup. [That's why!]
I believe I've seen them at ArtScraps and/or Axman recently, too.
Wooden or bamboo skewers would make posts for trench and fence/entanglement construction. Axman's got those. [1/8" diameter is around 8" to scale.]
Steel picture-hanging wire can be twisted into barbed wire by my patented process. The dingier the better.
Shouldn't Tommy have Tommies? [I've got fifteen or so already primed and glued on washers....] |

I'm joining in late, but I'd be up for some WWI trench building. I was looking at WWI Austrians online the other day. I think I'll indulge. _________________ Picts RULE! |

I wouldn't mind getting a Russian rifle section or two, if someone makes 'em. ( Those Maxims on wheels are kick- ass). _________________ Klotzen, nicht kleckern. |

Been surfing the web and noticed that Renegade makes Scots and Scots Highlanders. I think they are a relatively new release. The Highlanders are wearing kilts. _________________ Picts RULE! |
