| Very exciting! In my ignorance, I would have thought that evolution had already been observed in the lab long ago. Still, it's fun to live in exciting times. |

There's a book that's come out on all the work done with E.coli recently that I think has sort of made it popular again. I can't recall the name offhand but I'll see if I can find it.
the only other solid example, though mostly unobserved, of evolution recently are those lizards on an island in the baltic. apparently they were transplanted for study on an island, then all hell broke loose and they were forgotten. Recently some scientist retruned to find that in less then 30 years time most of the species had evolved various functional changes apropriate to the environment. _________________ waxing your moms @ss since 1979 |
